STEP BY STEP APPLICATION

Being a  LashLife woman is about acquiring a new beauty skill.  We provide support and guidance but perfecting the art of LashLife requires learning effort and practice

DETERMINE THE OBJECTIVE OF YOUR APPLICATION

Is it your first time? How long do you want to wear your lashes for? What will you be doing while wearing your lashes? This will help you determine your method of application.

First time application

1: PREP

Start with clean, oil free lashes. Moisturizer, sunscreen or natural oils on your lashes will affect the hold. Wash and dry your lashes immediately before application.

Carefully remove LashLife segments from the lash jar and set it on your lash pad or work surface.

2: ADHESIVE

Apply adhesive like mascara, focusing on the base of your natural lashes. Wiggle the glue applicator brush at the base of your lashes and brush through, avoiding the tips of your natural lashes.  Ensure that your natural lashes are not clumped together after applying the adhesive. If your natural lashes are clumped, use a clean eyelash brush to separate them.

3: LASH

Use your applicator tool to pick up a lash segment at the tips of the lash fibers. Use your fingertips to spread out the lash fibers if necessary

Apply the lash segment to the underside of your natural lashes, lining up the base of the lash segment close to, but not touching, the roots of your natural lashes.

You want the segments to be about 1mm away from your waterline, bonded to your natural lash only and not touching any skin.

*We recommend not applying the segments all the way to your outer eye corners, especially if you’re a side-sleeper, to prevent them from getting crushed by your pillow. Leave a few free lashes on the inner and outer corner of your eye.

Hold the lash segment in place for a second to allow it to attach to the glue. If your initial placement isn’t what you want, you can gently move the lash segment around to get to your ideal positioning.

Use the back of the applicator tool to push the lash segment up into your lashes.

Continue adding more lashes. Apply lashes closely next to each other and slightly overlap the corners of each segment for a seamless look.

*Depending on the size of your eye, you will use 6/5/4/3 lash segments per eye. Remember, our eyes are sisters, not twins… one eye may take more or less lash segments than the other.

4: FUSE AND LOCK INTO PLACE

Once you’ve applied all of your segments, clean off the inside of the applicator to make sure that there is no glue residue on it.

Use the applicator to seal your lash extensions together with your natural lashes by gently clamping your natural lashes together with the LashLife segments. You may also use your finger tips for this step

 8) Apply Water Repellant coating or Tack Off sealant at the base of your lash extensions. This step is not necessary but will extend the wear of your lashes.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Lashes not lasting as intended?

*Lash retention is based on many factors such as lifestyle, individual body chemistry and application technique. Improving on application technique and aftercare can increase the longevity of your lash set

*When applying adhesive to the lash segments, apply glue not just on the spines of the segments, but also a little way up into the lash fibers.

*The lash dash adhesive covers 2mm of surface area on the lash segment, crucial for its strong hold ability.

Lashes sticking to applicator tool

You may have gotten glue on the applicator. You can use a little water or Lash Laundry to wipe the applicator off and try again. Do not remove the nonstick  tips from the applicator tool.

Sticky lashes

LashLife adhesives never fully cure into a solid material. It will always remain soft and flexible. If your lashes feel uncomfortably tacky, you may have applied too much of adhesive, or your adhesive is placed incorrectly. Adhesive should only be placed on the inner side of the lash segment. Lash dashes should never hang off the edge of the lash segment.

Excessive exposure to moisture and heat can also make your lashes feel tacky.

Use the TACK OFF sealant as the last step to your lash routine if you struggle with tacky lashes

PRO TIPS

*If a lash loosens, dab a little glue and re-apply the lash segments.

*Avoid washing your lashes directly, especially with oil-based soaps or makeup remover. Carefully wash around the lash area with a washcloth and gently pat dry. Once your lashes are dry, seal them with your applicator or fingertips.

*Curl your natural lashes with an eyelash curler before applying the adhesive. This will make the application much easier

*Hold a mirror below your face and look down into the mirror while placing lashes. This allows you to have a clear view of the underside of your lashes without having to lift your eyelid.

*Keep makeup remover, micellar water, or our lash laundry solution close by to wipe off any glue residue that gets onto the applicator tool. A sticky applicator tool can make application tricky.

*Sleep on your back to avoid lashes getting pulled off by your pillow. Side sleeping may cause the outer corner lashes to become loose. Sleeping on your face while wearing LashLife will damage your lash set.

*Use a cotton bud dipped in water to clean any makeup fallout on top of your lashes

REMOVAL

*Use the LashLife Lash Melt remover or your favorite oil-based makeup remover / oil of your choice (coconut, olive, sunflower, castor)

*Apply directly onto and under lashes

*Massage into Lashes for a few seconds in a downward motion until lashes fall off.

*Do not tug or pull lashes to avoid damaging your natural lashes.

*Apply more remover to your natural lashes and use a spoolie to brush through your lashes to remove any glue residue left on your natural lashes.

REUSE

 1) Soak lashes in lash laundry solution for 2 min (99% isopropyl alcohol)

Using a lower concentration of alcohol will cause lashes to disintegrate faster.

 2) Remove lashes from Laundry solution 1 at a time and use a makeup brush or cotton bud to gently wipe away any glue residue. It is normal to lose 1 or 2 lash fibers while cleaning.

 3) Brush cleaned lashes with a spoolie to fluff them up

Your lashes are now ready to be reused.

LashLife segments will eventually start to disintegrate. On average, the lashes can be cleaned and reused 2- 3 times. AIR LASHES ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR REUSE
